Cougar Athletes of the Week

Female Athlete of the Week -- Julia Suchan-- Female Athlete of the Week for week ending April 23 -- Julia Suchan, a freshman outfielder from Calgary, Alberta, had a good four games last week in helping the softball team to three wins. Julia went 10-of-16 with seven runs scored, seven RBIs, and had two doubles and two home runs. It was the NJC game that Julia really stepped up when she went 3-for-4 in a 15-5 win with five RBIs, two runs scored and had two home runs and a double. She then went 2-for-3 in the 18-0 game two win with three runs scored, a RBI, and a double.
Male Athlete of the Week -- Brock Randels-- Male Athlete of the Week for week ending April 23 -- Brock Randels, a sophomore from Baldwin City, Kansas, had a big day in the Cougars loss to McCook last week. The third baseman went 2-for-3 in the game with two doubles. Randels also scored the only run for the Cougars. Besides doing it with his bat, he also was a mainstay in the field, registering seven put outs with a fielding percentage of .875. So far this season, Randels is batting .232 with 23 runs scored, 18 RBIs, and seven doubles.
