Cougar Athletes of the Week

Female Athlete of the Week -- Karli Seay-- Female Athlete of the Week for week ending Jan. 14 -- Karli Seay, a freshman from Chicago, had a consistent weekend in helping the Cougar women to two South conference wins over Otero and Lamar. Seay scored 11 points in each game. In the Lamar win, Karli finished with nine assists and three steals, while knocking home three 3-pointers. In the Otero win, she had four assists and six steals. Karli ranks 22nd in the NCAA in assists a game with 5.1 per game and 42nd in steals per game with 3.0 per game.
Male Athlete of the Week -- Trent Harris-- Male Athlete of the Week for Week Ending Jan. 14 -- Trent Harris, a sophomore from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, had a season and WNCC career-high 26 points in a 108-83 win over Lamar Community College on Saturday. Trent finished the game with six 3-pointers, five in the second half. Trent scored 19 of his points in the second half. His highest point total was a 25 point explosion against EWC last year, where he also had six treys.
