Athlete Of The Week

Female Athlete of the Week -- Kirstie Trees-- Female Athlete of the Week for Week Ending June 17 -- Kirstee Trees, who played for the volleyball team the last two seasons, is from Riverton, Wyoming. This month Kirstee was recognized by the NJCAA for his work in the classroom, earning First Team honors in academics as a NJCAA Academic All-American with a 4.0 GPA. Kirstee earned second team NJCAA academic honors as a freshman. Kirstee graduated this May and will continue her academic career at the University of Wyoming. She said she will forgo playing volleyball next year.
Male Athlete of the Week -- Andre Matzuda-- Male Athlete of the Week for Week Ending June 17 -- Andre Matzuda, who played for the men's soccer team, is from Lima, Peru. This month Andre was recognized by the NJCAA for his work in the classroom, earning First Team honors in academics as a NJCAA Academic All-American. This is the second straight year Andre has earned First Team honors with a 4.0 GPA. Andre, who graduated in May, will attend Shaw University in North Carolina to play soccer.
