High School Sports: Soccer, basketball, and softball

Sports History/Highlights -- include all sports played and honors with highlights/memories: Throughout high school, I played basketball, soccer, and softball. I was the captain of the girls' soccer team during my junior and senior years, but I was also the captain of the girls' softball team during my senior year. My best memories from my high school teams were the friendships and family I made through my team.

Sports History -- What Were Your Most Memorable Games/Accomplishments During Your Playing Time (high school or college or both): One of my most memorable games would have to be against our crosstown rivals, Greeley West, when we had a special event for our best buddies, which is a game for students who have disabilities and are unable to play sports. These students got a chance to play softball for a day with the help of both Greeley Central and Greeley West. Some of my accomplishments would be making all-honorable mention in softball in my sophomore and junior years, but also making honorable mention for soccer, my junior and senior years as well.

Returning WNCC Players Only: What Do You Hope To Accomplish This Year at WNCC and What Are Your Goals: Returning to WNCC, I hope to accomplish creating a strong bond with incoming freshmen, but also lead them into leadership roles for when they are sophomores. My goals for the semester are just to improve my game, but also encourage others.

Do you have a nickname and how did you get it: I have two nicknames; one of them is RoMo and Ro I got these from my previous sports teams by mixing my first name and my middle name.

When Did You Start Playing The Sport You Are Playing and What Makes It Your Sport: I’ve been playing softball since I was 10 years old. What made it my sport was how competitive I am but also my love for the game.

Goals After WNCC: My goals after WNCC are to transfer to a four-year university to continue my criminal justice degree and become a victim advocate.

What are the ingredients to being a good leader on/off the playing field: What I believe being a good leader on and off the field is reaching out to your teammates, not just at practice, but also just to hang out and also to help them with their schoolwork if they’re struggling.

Describe Who Is The One Teacher/Instructor That Has Inspired You Most and Why: (what school was that teacher in): One teacher that has inspired me the most would have to be my criminal justice teacher at WNCC. Her name is Tiffany Wasserburger; she has pushed me to do the best in the classroom and has always encouraged the athletes to reach out for help whenever needed.

If you could be on any reality show, which one would it be and why: If I could be on any TV show, I would probably be on any baking show. I just love cooking and creating sweet treats for my friends.
