WNCC women’s soccer falls to Casper on Saturday

                CASPER, Wyo. – The Western Nebraska Community College women's soccer team got behind early and never could catch up as Casper College earned a 5-0 conference win on Saturday at Casper Kelly Walsh High School soccer field.

                Casper scored two goals within the first 10 minutes as Macey Engle scored at the 6-minute mark and then Taylor Miller scored at the 8-minute mark.

                The T-birds added a third goal in the 11th minute on a Alora Taylor goal and made it 4-0 at halftime when Kelsey Woodbury scored in the 32nd minute.

                The Cougars played better in the second half, allowing just one Casper goal as Tyniah White scored in the 85th minute.

                WNCC had eight shots on goal with Julia Santos getting two of those shots, including a shot in the first half that just missed going into the net.

                Rory Weizenegger had four saves in net while Feline Groenwald had three saves in net.

                WNCC will look for win number one on the year as they travel to Lamar Community College on Friday and then travel to Northeastern Colorado in Sterling, Colorado, on Saturday.
