High School Sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Track
High School Volleyball Stats: Serving 98.3 percent, 22 aces, 189 kills, 48 blocks, 432 assists, and 368 digs.
High School Highlights: Lettered in all three sports all four years of her high school and was all-state in was all-conference in basketball and volleybal her junior and senior year. she was all-state in track her junior year (senior track season was canceled because of COVID-19).
Other High School Activities: HOnor Roll, National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Wyoming High School Athletic Association.
College Honors/Highlights: Hyleigh took dual classes through LCCC.
Hobbies: Playing the piano, fishing, hiking, shopping, driving around with friends, dancing, painting.
What advice do you have for young kids: "Stay young, good things come to those who wait. Work hard for what you want. Learn how to blow the negative off because other's opinions don't matter as long as you're happy."

What is the best way to show sportsmanship on and off the playing field: "Always shoe respect to the other team. Stay humble.
What are your goals at WNCC: To figure out what I want to do with my life to hopefully receive a scholarship to play volleyball afte rmy two years."
Do you have a nickname and how did you get it: Hy (an abbrieviation for my name). H-I (from the movie Raising Arizona), and my favorite nickname is Suspect, given to me by my history teacher.
What has the COVID-19 Pandemic taught you: It's crazy what you can lose in the blink of wye. People are stupid. Patience is a virtue.
Most embarrassing time playing sports: It occurred my freshman year and it involved me walking out of the locker room for my first vasity game with my jersey on backwards.
Would you change anything about your sporting career: "I would redo my summers of playing basketball and trade them for volleyball. I realized that I wasted my time on a sport that I hated rather than one that I loved."
What does it take to be a leader in sports: "You have to lead by example, be able to set personal problems aside, and be willing to put others first."
